Practical Use of AutoCAD 2012 Training

Our Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD) Training session will only be limited to a maximum of 4 candidates per class. This 'fast-track' training programme will usually be completed within 2-4 weeks, however we also offer longer training programme (e.g. over six months period). We are flexible and run week-ends and evening training sessions.
Course Description
The main aims of this course are to provide delegate/s the training in using basic commands in AutoCAD 2012 to produce a professional drawing and the practical use and understanding of AutoCAD to create drawings, reports and portfolios.
It would be beneficial if the delegates have background knowledge of essential technical drafting, an understanding of basic engineering principles and design processes.
Pre-requisites
No previous CAD experience is necessary. However, drafting, design or engineering experience is a plus. It is also recommended that the student have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system.
Course Objective
The primary objective of this course is to provide students with the practical AutoCAD 2012, knowledge in design, validation, and documentation processes that they will use to develop products using AutoCAD 2012. Upon completion of the course, students will be proficient in design and in documenting those designs using part and assembly drawing creation and annotation techniques.

- Start AutoCAD LT and open a new drawing
- Draw a line, a series of lines, and an object
- Select objects
- Delete objects
- Use dynamic input to enter commands
- Zoom and pan
- Find more information on using AutoCAD 2012
- Use a drawing template
- Display only the relevant tools specific for your drawing environment
- Set the drawing units
- Set the plot scale
- Use model space and paper space
- Working on tutorials, exercises and examples (course works)
- Plus many more practical functionalities and applications
Course Duration: 4 days taught plus 4 days practical training including exercise, course work and test.

All candidate will be given access to CCW Company's Intranet Portal for them to practice and download practical information at their leisure. These information includes: lesson plans, training materials, examples of exercises and tutorials.
Tutor: Qualified AutoCAD trainer experience in training candidates to City & Guilds level 2 and Level 3.
