Managing Principal Tutor: Mike Tan BSc, MSc, CEng, FCIHT, FInstLM
Our principal tutor is highly qualified and with over thirty years of experience working as client manager and consultant in the public and private sectors. He has vast experience in design, management, contract supervision and public consultation. An all round trainer in management and engineering and a fellow member of both the Institute of Leadership and Management (ilm) and the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation. Mike is an international consultant managing large-scale and high-profile projects. He is 'PRINCE2' trained and a qualified Master trainer in 'iMindMap'. An Associate Lecturer for a local University, reading Transportation Engineering, Project Management and Construction Practices for degree and MSc degree students.
Principal Tutor: Dr Glen Paterson LBAII
Our lead tutor in delivering the Institute of Leadership and Management (ilm) programmes for ReAct training and private sector SME clients. Specialised in embodying the motto of empowering others to become the next greatest version of themselves. A mentor, performance coach and counsellor with over twenty years’ experience of working with national and blue-chip companies; enhancing their understanding of team and management problems while increasing the success, productivity and profitability. Qualified & licensed to administer Ken Blanchard LBAII, Belbin Team Roles, Lifo & MBTI Psychometric Testing. Our management skills tutor has international experience in bespoke training and is best equipped to answer the needs of our diverse management delegates.
Principal Tutor: Graham Wadelin MSc, PhD, CEng, FIChemE (Environmental Expert)
Throughout his career Graham has been involved with some of the most environmentally challenging industries. A chemical engineer by profession, his early years were spent designing and commissioning plant for the manufacture of heavy chemicals, fine chemicals and drug intermediates. He then worked for eight years as an environmental regulator and team leader for central government before taking up the role of a senior environmental manager with the UK’s largest steel producer. His academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Integrated Environmental Management and a Doctorate in Environmental Assessment of Industrial Processes and he has specialised in environmental legislation, environmental management, waste management, environmental assessment and land remediation. Graham has offered advice and guidance on both environmental policy and regulation in various government and industrial committees and working groups. He has also lobbied at both National and European levels for the best outcomes for industry in respect of proposed new environmental legislation.
Principal Tutor: Jon Hoffman PGCE (CertEd) Masters, MCAS (Microsoft Certified Application Specialist)
Jon is the course leader in ICT, leading on bespoke training, preparing training, and training materials. Jon is an excellent trainer with many years of practical and theoretical experience master trainer in Microsoft Office suite training. Indeed a people’s person, good with customers and colleagues very helpful and professional. Jon has been spent his career as a manager in operational, business development and teaching roles. In recent years he have been working as a project manager, managing projects associated with Information & Communications Technologies in the public and education sectors on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government. He is qualified in project management (PRINCE2) and teaching, holding the PGCE (CertEd). He is a self -reliant individual with an excellent ICT problem solving skills and has the ability to pick up new ideas and concepts very quickly.
Principal Tutor: Stuart Morgan MA, BSc, Chartered FCIPD, FRSPH, FCMI, FRSA, MIHM
Stuart is an internationally renowned management trainer, advisor and project manager with significant exposure to managing complex change programmes. He has substantial experience in human resource development, developing teams and working with senior managers in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary settings. Over the last nineteen years, Stuart has worked internationally for multi-lateral and bi-lateral donor agencies, several global private sector organisations, and for the governments of many countries. He has been a visiting lecturer in management in several UK universities and he has been an associate senior lecturer at several international Universities in West Indies and Barbados, El Shaam’s University in Cairo, Andrija Štampar School of Public Health, Zagreb, Croatia; and the Medical University in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Principal Tutor: Steve Ralph Fellow CIPD, Member Institute of Management Services
Steve is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development with over 30 years experience in HR, training and management services in both the public authority and private engineering sectors. He has headed the Human Resources and Equalities function in a major local authority covering some 5000 employees and has vast operational experience delivering recruitment, training, development, employee relations, project management, equal pay and job evaluation programmes. Other fields of expertise include organisational change, process re-engineering, work study, workforce planning and implementing productivity schemes.
Principal Tutor: Gareth Noble - Health & Safety and First Aid Training
Gareth has many years of experience training individuals and groups, some of his past clients include; The Priory Healthcare Group, The Harley Medical Group, Cardiff Legal Services Commission, Intellectual Property Office (IPO), Companies House, Various Schools and Care Homes amongst others. He is a member of the Institute for Learning (IFL) and a member of the Association of First Aiders (AoFA - HSE accredited). He has a ‘Train the Trainer’ certificate and a member of the International Association of Trainers in Aggression Management (IATAM). He has experience in Manual Handling; a Health & Safety Instructor and Advisor. He obtained a NEBOSH and IOSH national general certificate in Health & Safety. A black belt exponent of military martial arts, a self protection Instructor with the British Combat Association, and has trained extensively in the UK and Europe.
Amit Chatim MEng MIET
Amit has achieved a 1st Class degree in MEng Computer Systems Engineering. He is an expert in computer system and website SEO. Enjoys tackling challenging situations and problem solving. An innovative Computer Systems Engineer. He has experience in designing questionnaire software for hand held devices with a good technical grasp of software and software design. He has worked with various software packages similar packages to SNAP and PASW and has a sound knowledge of Information Technology which enables him to adapt and work with new technologies and packages easily.
Jason Linney BA (Hons) - Virtual Training Head Tutor
Jason is an expert in developing and delivering Online Training. He is experienced in implementing learning solutions for a number of high profile clients including Automatic Data Processing (ADP), Shell and The National Social Marketing Centre. These solutions include setting up frameworks and business models, training online trainers, course construction and the introduction of a variety of e-learning options catered to the individual clients needs. He is a fierce advocate of online learning and has the ability to train people in the easiest, most effective and fun way possible, believing that a happy learner is a successful learner.
Principal Tutor: Steve Matthews BSc (Hons), DMS, CEng, MICE MCIHT
Extensive experience at senior management level and at chief officer level in both private and public sectors. Steve’s areas of expertise include major highway and transportation schemes, PFI, regeneration, land use and transport policy, transport assessments, gateway reviews, project management of major schemes and expert witness work. Steve provides strategic advice to organisations on change management and mentors engineers in middle and senior management.
Michael Cox BSc, CENG, MICE, DMS, RMaPS, FFB, ARICS
Mike is a Chartered Civil Engineer with additional qualifications in CDM Co-ordination, BREEAM assessment and waste management planning. He has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry and has worked for consultants, local authorities, civil engineering contractors and building contractors. He works primarily as a CDM co-ordinator or project manager. He has worked on large multi-site projects, for global clients, local authorities and small domestic and commercial schemes. He is equally comfortable in Civil Engineering or Building sectors.
Christopher Leigh BEng (Hons) CEng MCIBSE MIET
An extensively qualified Chartered Engineer with over 25 years of experience in building engineering, most of which has been spent with consulting engineering practices, ranging across the full spectrum of the industry from some of the largest and best-known projects in Wales to countless small works projects. He is a professional engineer and confident leader; an experienced presenter and lecturer. He is widely recognised as a highly flexible strategic business development thinker committed to raising standards, customer care and investment in people.
Zavien Teh BEng (Hons) MIStrucE AMIStrucE
Zavien is a chartered structural engineer, an Associate Incorporated Engineer, and a reviewer-in-training with the Institution of Structural Engineering. A Principal Structural Engineer with many years’ specialist experience in; Structural Steel, Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Timber, High rise, Seismic design, Finite element analysis, Basement and Industrial Structures. Competent in the following software: RAPT, SpaceGASS, TEDDS, ETABS, STAADIII, S-FRAME, CSC suite of software including Fastrak Building Designer, and RAM Concept. His key responsibility as Principal Engineer are in Technical lead in the design process, Project Management & team leader, client and design team liaison, mentoring a team of engineers and technicians, fee proposal, fee control and quality assurance.

Gareth specialises in Construction Law, Principally Wills, Trusts, Probate and Inheritance Land Banking. He also Practises in Personal Injury, typically medical negligence and fatality cases.
Kalee Lau LLB (Hons) - Solicitor
Kalee Lau is a Principle Solicitor and has 14 years experience in residential conveyancing, commercial property, all aspects of Family work, Debt, Personal Injury and Immigration Law. Kalee has developed her skill in several companies before starting her own company.
Michael Aubrey BSC (Hons), PGCE Cert Ed, MCT, MOS MI
Our trainer is a Microsoft Office specialist and professional. He is an expert in providing high quality training and advice in the Microsoft Office packages. He has a PGCE qualification from Cardiff University and is an accredited NVQ Assessor. Michael is a highly qualified and an experienced trainer who has been delivering consistently high quality ICT training courses all across the United Kingdom. He worked in the IT industry for over 10 years for both the public and private sectors. Michael brings experience of many ICT disciplines and has been recognised as an expert in Excel and Word from Microsoft. Michael holds a Microsoft Master Instructor status for Microsoft Office products. He is a focused trainer who strongly believes in ensuring that his learners get maximum benefit from his training courses.
Jim Trace (HNC)
Jim is a qualified Mechanical Engineer specialise in manufacturing process engineering with extensive hands-on knowledge and experience in fmcg manufacturing processes. With a proven track record in a number of U.K. based blue chip companies including Panasonic, Grundig, and Corus. Jim’s experiences range from a qualified working knowledge of all workshop equipment to developing production processes and reporting. A lean manufacturing practitioner using techniques including Kaizen, Kanban, 5s, Poke Yoke, SMED and FMEA. Jim is also a works study & method study practitioner. Producing standard times, takt times, synthetic data, MTM and line balances. He is trained in Tec time PC based work study system. An expert in monitoring compliance of products and processes using quality methodology such as pie charts, graphs, customer reports and KPI’s. Health and Safety professional qualified to NEBOSH standard.

John is a Fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants qualified in July 1991. He is a Chartered Accountant with a wide range of industries and SMEs’ business clients’ experience. The expert areas of services provided are in Accounting; Personal Tax; Corporation Tax, Limited Company Accounts, Payroll Services and VAT. He has been a Group Financial Controller effectively acting as de facto Finance Director. Specialises in assessing the viability of new business ventures and projects including the preparation of revenue and costing analysis of projects planning of company’s expansion, exit and diversification proposals.
