(2) Design of website in WordPress - CMS (Intermediate level)

Duration: 2 Days Course   + 1 day course work

Course Objective:

To design a content management system (CMS) website from WordPress, customising WordPress (website) to meet aesthetic needs via themes and functionality needs via plugins.

Prerequisites: Introduction to HTML and Web Design

Day 1

  • Understanding a Content Management System (website) and how it works
  • Introduction to WordPress
  • Introduction to Server technology and MySQL for installation of WordPress
  • Download of WordPress and other tools and installation on local machine for development

Day 2

  • Configuring WordPress and understanding the administration layout
  • Working with themes and customising them
  • Creating webpages
  • Working with menus
  • Working with plugins, installation and configuration

Day 3

  • Installing and configuring SEO modules
  • Installing and configuring Contact Form module
  • Installing and configuring Picture Gallery module
  • Installing and configuring Sliders module
  • Installing and configuring Social network modules
  • Steps needed to be taken to deploy a word press website

Coursework: Design a website in WordPress.

(3) Programming with C# ASP.NET and Development Tools

Duration: 5 Day Course + 2 Day Course work    (Intermediate level)

Objective of the course:

This course has been designed to make candidate to understand the principle of web design in C#, with C# language fundamentals. Understanding of the tools involved in the design process and designing data driven websites in C#.

(4) Introduction to SEO and Social Media (Intermediate level)

Duration: 1 Day Course

Prerequisites: Basic understanding of HTML or use of a CMS

Objective of the course:

SEO - Search Engine Optimization is the optimization of your website for search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing etc. so that they can access the content of your site and bring up you web page for relevant searches.
