DESCRIPTION:Topographical Surveying Training Cardiff Module 1\nThis Topographical Surveying Training Cardiff has been developed to provide a general overview of basic land surveying and measurement techniques using manual and electronic equipment\, transfer of field data to digital terrain modelling software and to produce 2 or 3 dimensional survey output files for computer aided design (CAD). \nCourse Aims:\nThe course will give the candidate a brief insight and understanding of surveying principles and equipment. \nCandidates will gain practical experience in the use of manual and electronic equipment to successfully carry out levelling surveys and topographical surveys of project sites\, and to digitally transfer the topographical field data to Land Surveying Software to produce a 3 dimensional model of the site and output ACAD compatible files for design purposes. \nCourse Outline:\n1. Introduction to land surveying. \n2. Levelling operations: a) Height of collimation method; b) Rise and fall method; c) Use of ordnance survey bench marks \n3. Use of electronic surveying instruments. \n4. Undertaking a topographical survey. \n5. Establishment of survey control: a) Three point resection; b) Using digital Ordnance survey maps; c) Using GPS \n6. Digital data transfer from survey instruments: a) Leica geo office tools; b) Topcon tools \n7. Survey data processing \n8. DESCRIPTION:An understanding of the CDM 2015 Regulation\nThis is our new CDM 2015 training course. The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 came into force on 6th April 2015. These changes represent a significant change in the way that health and safety is managed in the construction industry. The key changes that will be covered in our training are: \n\nCDM Coordinator role replaced by a ‘Principal Designer’.\nClient duties strengthened.\nClient’s “key project advisor” role removed.\nPrincipal Designer and Principal Contractor required for all projects with more than one “trade” Contractor on site.\nConstruction Phase Plan is required for all projects.\nNotification (Threshold).\n‘Explicit competence’ requirements removed.\nDuties to be applicable to domestic projects.\n\nThe Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 places legal duties for those involved in construction projects.
