CITB Approved Training Organisation & Funding Support

CITB Approved Training Organisation & Funding Support

At CCW-Training Academy, we’re proud to be recognised as a CITB Approved Training Organisation (ATO), a mark of quality and trust in construction-related training across the UK.

What Is a CITB Approved Training Organisation?

Being a CITB ATO means our training meets the high standards set by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). We deliver courses that align with CITB’s criteria for quality, relevance, and impact, helping individuals and employers upskill with confidence. We are also a part of the Employer Network.

As an ATO, we:

  • Deliver CITB-assured and recognised training
  • Submit learner achievements to the Construction Training Register (CTR)
  • Enable employers to claim CITB grants for eligible training

CITB Funding: What’s Changing from January 2026?

CITB has announced important updates to its grants and funding offer, effective 8 January 2026.

  • Short Course Training: No longer funded through the Grants Scheme, except for Plant Operations, Scaffolding, and other specialist courses. Funding for short courses will now be delivered exclusively via Employer Networks.
  • Large Employers: From 31 March 2026, large employers (250+ employees) will no longer be supported via Employer Networks. A new large employer fund will launch from 1 April 2026.
  • Continuing Support: Apprenticeships, card-linked training, and high-impact training aligned to skills gaps will continue to receive funding.

Funding Routes Still Available

Despite these changes, CITB continues to invest in construction skills. Employers can still access:

  • Employer Network Funding: Support for short-duration training needs, managed through local advisers.
  • Achievement Grants: For completing recognised qualifications (e.g. NVQs), helping cover costs of longer-term professional development.
  • Apprenticeship Support: Some changes have been made to apprenticeship support.
