In summary, taster courses play a crucial role in exploring new skill sets, facilitating a successful career change, or requiring additional skills. By providing individuals with the opportunity to explore new areas, assess their skills, build confidence, and make informed decisions is important for our mindfulness.
These training courses, also known as a trial or introductory course, and are important for changing careers for several reasons:
- Exploration of new fields – allow individuals to gain exposure to a new field or industry before making a significant commitment.
- Realistic expectations – offer a realistic view of what it is like to work in a particular industry or role.
- Skill assessment – provide an opportunity to assess existing skills and identify any gaps that may need to be addressed through further training or education.
- Networking opportunities – bring together individuals who are interested in the same field.
- Building confidence – can boost confidence by demonstrating that it is possible to acquire new skills and knowledge relevant to the desired career.

Beginner / Foundation AutoCAD Training
This course is great for those just starting out with AutoCAD. It takes you from the very beginning of creating a drawing to altering objects. This course has been designed for those with no experience using AutoCAD or for anyone looking for a refresher.
Intermediate AutoCAD Training
Our intermediate course follows on from the teachings in the beginner course and takes you to an advanced level. You will learn different utility commands and advanced layouts. This AutoCAD 2019 and design training course is for anyone who is experienced in using AutoCAD.
Introduction to 3D AutoCAD Training
This course is an introduction to 3D AutoCAD. It runs on from the other Intermediate AutoCAD training course. This is a 1 day training, based solely on creating items in 3D in AutoCAD.
Full AutoCAD Training (5 Day)
This is the amalgamation of the beginner and the intermediate AutoCAD courses but with a day of 3D AutoCAD thrown in as well. This is a fantastic AutoCAD 2019 and design training course for anyone who hasn’t used AutoCAD before and wants to get to an advanced level. It takes you from the very beginning of creating a simple drawing to being able to use AutoCAD 3D.
Finance for Non-Financial Managers
This training course will help you to understand basic financial principals and the documents used in business. You will learn how to interpret the information in these documents, and use this to manage day-to-day business activity. This knowledge will enable you to be more effective in your managerial role and to be more sustainable
Understanding Financial Documents
This training course has been designed to help you to understand the purpose of financial documents and processes. Use these skills on a daily basis in business for customer and supplier documentation. It will show you how to keep records and to work effectively, and remain compliance.
First Aid Training
The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work.
These Regulations apply to all workplaces including those with five or fewer employees and to the self-employed. Employers are required to carry out an assessment of first aid needs.
Team Building
Team building can be a great way of helping both new and existing teams to work and communicate well. We design our team building to target the needs of your particular team. Our approach is to mix strategic planning with practical techniques. This improves internal team communication, co-operation and morale (We can offer bespoke training to group bookings).
Manual Handling for Healthcare Sector
This training course will introduce candidates to the risks and hazards involved with manual handling within healthcare. It will cover the good practices, outlines of what to expect from manual handling assessments. This course will enable employees to safely manually handle individuals and objects and the techniques necessary for this. They will gain an understanding of the risks involved and how to carry out a risk assessment.
Mental Health Awareness
We have created this course to teach anyone, in any sector how to become aware of mental health. We believe that everyone should be able to identify possible signs of mental health especially for themselves. To be able to see the signs and act on them, to improve their own mental health and their understanding of what mental health is.

AutoCAD Civil 3D Training
This AutoCAD Civil 3D training course has been developed to provide a general overview of basic land surveying and measurement techniques using manual and electronic equipment. It will cover transfer of field data to digital terrain modelling software and to produce 2 or 3 dimension survey output files for computer aided design.

Mike and his team of trainers are a welcoming, approachable, inspirational group of people, who are extremely professional while delivering their lessons, with fantastic, relatable experiences, and a little humour.added too! The actual COAL project was an unforgettable experience, with a lovely bunch of people from all walks of life, who were also full of inspiring stories which made the trip such a success - making memories and friends I will always hold dear! If you ever get the opportunity to complete this trip or the ILM level 2 course, I would HIGHLY recommend it, I have previously worked in education for over 15 years and during that time I have completed a number of different training and motivational seminars/courses, but none of them compare to the style of teaching received during this course...it quite simply has and will continue to change my mindset and life - Thank you SO much to Mike Tan and his absolutely fantastic team, both here and in Lille...I will be forever grateful for the experience and opportunity you have given to me! Nick Jordan15/08/2023I have been booking my AAT Assessment Level 2 exams with CCW Training academy over the last 9 months, 4 in total with my last one today. Always a very pleasant and relaxed experience with nice small groups at a time and great location in Cardiff centre nr Museum. Always great communication when booking my exams making it easy to pay by invoice. Highly recommend and will definatly be booking my next AAT Level 3 exams with them.
Noemie Plaetevoet14/08/2023I took the 2 week course level level 2 in Cardiff, it was an eye-opener. The company has in mind to manage a team you have to know yourself, and it is important to see management as a skill and not a promotion. And CCW totally got that, and helps you throughout the journey, with practical exercices, with practical debrief. It is truly an intense experience, professionally and emotionally, but you'll come back with a better knowledge, a better understanding of people's emotions and how to promote yourself. I can't recommend enough CCW and their programm for their kindness, professionalism and benevolence
