ReAct Funding and Training Opportunity (Redundancy Training)
ReAct Redundancy Scheme is a programme of funding for training provided by the Welsh Assembly Government for people living in Wales who are facing redundancy, or have already been made redundant.
ReAct funding initiative providing financial support packages designed to help individuals to gain new skills, overcome obstacles and improve their chances of returning to work in the shortest time possible. If you have been made redundant in the last six months or are currently under redundancy notice. Please read on for further information.
ReAct Funding for Redundant People
If you need to retrain and gain vital skills to help you to find a new job the Welsh Assembly Government can offer you a discretionary Vocational Training award and pay 100% of your training fees (up to a maximum of £2,500). Additional funding to help towards extra costs associated with training such as travel, accomodation, chailcare or books. This award is for training that takes place while you are under notice of redundancy or after you have been made redundant and before you start a new job.
ReAct Funding for your New Employer
ReAct Funding is also a 'carrot' for your new employer. As an added incentive for taking you on a further contribution of £2,080 towards the cost of you wages. A further £1,000 could be paid towards the cost of any job-related training that you may need. By saving a potential new employer thousands of pounds, you have an even better chance of finding a new job.
ProAct - What is it?
ProAct is a Welsh Assembly Government financial support package designed to help viable businesses cope with the downturn and use quiet periods to upskill staff to prepare them for the upturn. It provides additional training for employees who are on short time working. It also helps businesses retain skilled staff who may otherwise be made redundant. ProAct is only available to businesses who have introduced short time working and face the threat of redundancies. It is initially available for 12 months to March 2010.
Funding for the courses provided by Career Change Wales - Training Academy can be available through the Welsh Assembly Government ReAct and ProAct Schemes.
